What are the requirements to become a flight attendant?

To work as a flight attendant you must obtain an official certificate, the CCA (Cabin Crew Attestation), by passing an exam that proves you have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills. This certificate is issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

What are the requirements for the cabin crew course?

The flight attendant requirements are essential to become the ideal candidate for an airline:

  • Be between 17 and 34 years old
  • Hold a mandatory secondary school qualification or equivalent
  • Have a solid foundation in English
  • Pass a medical examination
  • Meet the minimum height according to gender
  • Geographic availability
  • Be able to swim
  • No visible tattoos or piercings when wearing the uniform
  • Be a member of the European Union or hold a valid residence or study permit

How long does flight attendant training last?

The course that prepares you to become cabin crew, obtain the CCA and start working as a flight attendant lasts 12 weeks (3 months).
