How long is the Profly Academy CCA certificate valid?

The Cabin Crew Attestation you receive upon completing the course has permanent European validity with no need for renewal, in accordance with regulation EU 290/2012. It is the official document required by all airlines of the European Union (Iberia, Vueling, Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air, TAP, Volotea, Air Europa, etc.) and by non-European airlines with operational bases at European airports. The issuing authority in Spain is AESA (Agencia Estatal de Seguridad Aérea), and the certificate is automatically recognised in all 27 EU member states plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland.

What is the difference between the 11-week course and the 4-week intensive?

Both courses fully cover the 12 modules required by EASA Part-CC and award the same official CCA qualification. The difference lies in the pace: the 11-week course has a balanced rhythm with time to develop language skills, prepare for interviews, and complete additional practice; the 4-week intensive concentrates all mandatory training into longer daily sessions (8–10 h/day), ideal for students who already have prior training or wish to enter the job market quickly. The price of the intensive is proportionally lower as it includes fewer complementary services.

Does the course include practice in a real aircraft simulator?

Yes. The programme includes more than 40 hours of practice in a cabin simulator (mock-up) configured to replicate the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 models — the most widely used in European airlines. Sessions are held at approved centres in Vigo, Valencia, and Mallorca, led by instructors who are senior active pursers. You will practise timed evacuations (target: under 90 seconds), rapid depressurisation simulation, galley fire scenarios, partial gear landings, and NITS communication procedures with the flight deck.

Do I need to be able to swim to take the course?

Yes, it is a mandatory EASA requirement. You must be able to swim 25 metres without stopping and tread water whilst fully clothed for one minute. If your swimming ability is basic, do not worry: the Pack Cabin Crew includes swimming lessons during the first weeks in a heated indoor pool, as well as the mandatory water rescue practice with life rafts, life jackets, and survival techniques following a ditching. By the end of the course you will comfortably pass any airline's practical water examination.

Does the course prepare students for the aeronautical English required by airlines?

Yes. More than 60 hours of the programme are dedicated to aeronautical English applied to the cabin: technical terminology, official passenger announcements (PA — Public Address), communication with the flight deck, managing international passengers, and simulated interviews in English. We work with material tailored to the TOEIC exam and the operational English required by airlines such as Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air, Air Europa, and the selection processes of Iberia and Vueling. For non-native speakers we also offer aeronautical Spanish classes.

What is the age range and physical requirements for the course?

The course is open to candidates aged between 17 and 34. The physical requirements set by airlines are: minimum height of 1.58 m for women and 1.70 m for men, weight proportionate to height, no tattoos or piercings visible in standard uniform, and a general state of health that allows you to pass the aeronautical medical examination. A solid foundation in English and geographical availability to join an airline after qualification are also valued.

What documentation do I need to submit to enrol?

To complete enrolment you will need: a valid national identity document, NIE, or passport; a class 2 or higher aeronautical medical certificate (we can advise on approved centres near you); proof of swimming ability or a commitment to acquire it during the course; a minimum qualification of ESO or a European equivalent (Bachillerato, FP) — if your qualification is from outside the EU, you will need to have it officially recognised; a recent passport-style photograph; and a prior personal interview (in person or by video call) with our admissions team to assess suitability and answer any questions.
